Fireweed Lodge is absolutely top-notch. I've done a similar trip at another place called Waterfall Resort, which was decent, but this place, in my opinion, is superior on every level. The layout of the resort is ideal, everything you need is right there and the facility meticulously maintained. The food is excellent, especially the desserts. The rooms are clean and beds nice and comfortable. Having Cable TV and fridge in the rooms was nice for the evenings after fishing. We also really enjoyed the firepit during downtime. The boats were in good condition and our guide was amazing. We caught lots of fish and had tons of fun doing it. Lastly, this is a family-owned, family-operated small business. The owners Chace and Josh are good, hardworking people and I like supporting this type of business whenever I can. I highly recommend Fireweed Lodge. We are already booked to go again next year!

Four of us had a great three day fishing experience at Fireweed Lodge. Chace, Josh , and the whole staff were all excellent, friendly, and very accommodating. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the food was great! Our guide Josh worked hard and got us on a lot of fish, and we had a blast. I would highly recommend Fireweed, and hope to be back soon. A great place!

Absolutely incredible experience at Fireweed Lodge! The fishing was unreal — halibut, salmon, you name it. The food was amazing, and the hospitality from Josh and Chace Anderson made it feel like home. My guides, Ken, Aaron & Morgan were incredible and worked hard to get us on the fish. If you’re dreaming of an Alaskan fishing adventure, this is the place.

What an outstanding place, people and fishing. Had not been to Fireweed since 1997 and my memories were sound. Rating an 11 on a 1-10 scale is easy and justified!

I've been. Fishing with Fireweed for many years. I'm 82 and will be back next year. The experience is unforgettable! Wildlife includes many Bald Eagles, whales, sea otters, bears, and, of course lots of fish. Food prepared by chef Donny and his crew is scrumptious after a day of fishing. The lodge is very comfortable and warm. The rooms a modern and well appointed. But best of all is the wonderful hospitality and friendship I have enjoyed throughout the years with the Anderson Family.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Fireweed Lodge, and it’s a trip we’ll never forget! From the moment we arrived, Chace and Josh, along with their incredible staff, made us feel right at home. The hospitality was top-notch, and every detail was taken care of with such care and attention. A special shoutout to our fishing guide, Jim, who went above and beyond to make our fishing experience truly unforgettable. His expertise, patience, and passion for fishing made all the difference, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We’re already counting down the days until we can return next year. Thank you, Fireweed Lodge, for an incredible experience that we’ll cherish forever!

This was the cutest little gem to find on the island! :) We were leaving on vacation and needed to stay in town before leaving on the ferry early the next morning so we stayed at Fireweed Lodge! What a treat! The rooms were super clean and cozy! The front desk lady made check-in very easy and recommended making a reservation for dinner there and I am so glad we did! For dinner they had two entrees to choose from, so Joe picked and then I chose the opposite so we could try everything . They had an open salad bar with all the fixings you could ever imagine and a dessert bar!! YUM!! It was delicious! Not only did they give us a basket of bread for the table but they also had a lady who sang music for all of us during dinner! It was SO CUTE!! I would definitely recommend trying this place out! And the prices aren't bad either! :)
